SEND services for parents

On this page you will find some useful links to organisations and services that can be accessed by families whose children have SEND.  

Please note that each link will take you away from our school website to a third party provider, as such the school can take no responsibility for the content of each site.

The Redcar and Cleveland Information Directory contains links for parents to the Local Offer and SEND services.

The Children and Young People's Disability Register is a database that holds information about Young People with disabilities. Once a child has been added to the register, their parents will receive information regarding the short breaks offer aswell as information on local and national services, charities and events that are relevant to children and young people with disabilities and their families. 

SENDIASS offer impartial advice and support on all matters relating to special educational needs and or disability. 

National Societies

SEND Family Voice is the parent and carer forum for Redcar and Cleveland, whose aim is to create a strong and represented community of families who have children and young people with any special educational need.

The Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council website has a comprehensive section on the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service page.

The Department for Education has SEND information for parents on its website.

NHS England has a website full of information about SEND

The child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) are ran by the Tees, Esk and Wear Valley's NHS Foundation Trust.  Their website contains information about how they can help children and young people support their mental health.

The Family Fund provide grant assistance to families on a low income, raising a disabled or seriously ill child, or young person. 

Daisy Chain supports autistic and neurodivergent children, adults and families in the Tees Valley and beyond.
